Kleo King, Esq., Promoted to Associate Executive Director

Jackson Heights, NY––United Spinal Association is pleased to announce the promotion of Kleo King, Esq. to the position of Associate Executive Director of Accessibility Services. King has worked in the accessibility field for nineteen years with United Spinal Association as a legal advisor and attorney, primarily in the areas of housing, air transportation, and access to public accommodations. In her role as AED, she will oversee United Spinal’s member travel service, ABLE to Travel, and its Accessibility Services consulting and training unit.

King’s dedication to improving access to the built environment and creating opportunities in work, travel, and community activities is reflected in her daily actions, “United Spinal Association recognizes Kleo’s long-term commitment and her outstanding leadership qualities in the pursuit of our organization’s goals and mission,” said Executive Director Paul Tobin. “We are proud of her accomplishments and we admire her professionalism and allegiance to the disabled community.”

King received her law degree from George Mason University School of Law and is admitted to the Virginia and New York State Bars. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and the Virginia Bar Association. She has contributed to several publications, including the Lawyers Cooperative Publishing’s Americans with Disabilities Practice and Compliance Manual; Representing People with Disabilities, published by the New York State Bar Association; Rights of People with Disabilities, published by the Association of the Bar of the City of New York; and Representing the Elderly Client of Modest Means, compiled by the Practicing Law Institute.

King lives on Long Island with her husband, Timothy Casamento, and their 17-year-old son, Kyle.

United Spinal Association is a national membership organization for people with spinal cord injury and disorders. Membership in the Association is free and open to all people with spinal cord disabilities.
