Therapy Leadership Council in Spinal Cord Injury to Present at Largest Conference on Spinal Cord Medicine and Rehabilitation in North America

New York––Therapy Leadership Council in Spinal Cord Injury will present at the 2007 North American Spinal Cord Injury Conference and Disability Expo (NASCICDE). This educational and networking event will bring together over 1,200 multidisciplinary professionals dedicated to the care, treatment, research and rehabilitation of individuals with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D).

Hosted by United Spinal Association, the conference will be held at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from August 27 through August 29, 2007. It will feature over 80 platform and poster presentations, the latest in clinical interventions, advances in SCI research in assistive technology and evidence-based practice, clinical advances in spinal cord injury care, aging with SCI and much more.

All professionals will have an opportunity to advance their knowledge in the field with featured speakers. Topics will include new spinal cord injury-related research and development, such as wound care approaches, prognosis and recovery; new technologies in seating equipment, gait tools, modalities and innovative programs such as respiratory care, pain management, and more. For those who qualify, CE credits may also be earned by attending.

The conference will also feature a special expo with over 100 exhibitors representing assistive technology, pharmaceutical companies, medical and health care supplies, van conversions, recreational and travel services, publishers, as well as a variety of professional and disability organizations. For the first time, a new consumer conference, Creating Your Future: Living With A Disability, will be included at the NASCICDE. The consumer conference will target issues common to all individuals with disabilities.
