Coloring Contest to Highlight United Spinal’s Orlando Conference
Jackson Heights, NY––In celebration of its 2007 North American Spinal Cord Injury Conference and Disability Expo (NASCICDE), August 27-29 in Orlando, Florida, United Spinal Association is sponsoring a coloring contest featuring the NASCICDE mascot, “Wade the Flamingo.”
The Color Me Wade Contest is open to children and teens nationwide. A line drawing of Wade can be found in United Spinal’s monthly membership magazine, Action; at front desks of participating Microtel Inn & Suites hotels; or downloaded at www.unitedspinal.org, go to Action Magazine Online. It can also be photocopied if additional blanks are needed. All entries must include the contest entry form with a parent/guardian’s signature; one entry per child or teen.

Contestants are asked to make the background images of their Wade drawings reflect the geographic area where they live. For example, if you live on a farm, the background might include a cow. Entries will be exhibited at the Conference. United Spinal will also post entries on Action Online, where they will be viewed and voted on by visitors September 3-15, 2007. Any child 17 or under is eligible to win prizes, with the exception of children of employees of United Spinal Association and Microtel Inn & Suites.
