Veterans Service Organization Offers Free Pamphlet on How to Display American Flag

Jackson Heights, NY—To celebrate Flag Day, national veterans service and disability rights organization, United Spinal Association, is offering proud Americans a free pamphlet entitled, How to Display Our Flag.

“We at United Spinal can think of no better way to show our support year round for our troops and their families than to appropriately display our flag,” said President and CEO Paul J. Tobin. “When one views the flag, one thinks of liberty, freedom, and pride. The flag is how America signs her name.”

How to Display Our Flag explains the proper etiquette for presenting the American flag and contains a list of days when the flag is traditionally showcased, such as: Flag Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and many others. This informative pamphlet also provides instruction on how the flag should be displayed on a variety of specific occasions such as parades or public events.

Single copies of How to Display Our Flag can be downloaded at no charge by visiting www.unitedspinal.org and clicking on “Publications & Resources.” Bulk copies may be ordered by calling United Spinal’s free publications request line at 800-444-0120.

United Spinal proudly serves veterans every day through its VetsFirst program—a network of expert national service officers providing assistance and free representation in claims for benefits and services before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as before other agencies and the federal courts.

United Spinal Association was created over 60 years ago by a group of paralyzed World War II veterans who joined together to assert their fundamental civil right to the same opportunities their countrymen enjoyed and they dedicated themselves to building meaningful, productive lives for all of their paralyzed fellow soldiers. Through their efforts to secure better health care, accessible public buildings and transportation, and equal opportunities in the workplace, these veterans continued serving their country long after leaving the battlefield and today that legacy lives on in United Spinal Association’s expanded mission to serve not just our brave veterans but all Americans living with paralysis or other mobility impairments.
