Barrier-Free Design Publication for New York City is Now Available
Jackson Heights, NY–United Spinal Association is pleased to issue the 2008 revised edition of Barrier-Free Design: The Law, New York City.
This publication includes applicable sections of the new New York City Construction Codes, which were signed into law on July 3, 2007, and which will become effective on July 1, 2008.
Each copy of Barrier-Free Design: The Law, New York City includes the new New York City Construction Code sections related to accessible design (design/renovation of buildings and facilities for all persons with disabilities), the existing Local Law 58 of 1987 sections, and comparison charts of both of these codes with respect to the Federal Fair Housing Act Accessibility Guidelines and the new Americans with Disabilities Act/Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Guidelines.
