Canes To Wheelchairs Mobility Alternatives- A Free Publication

United Spinal has just released a new free publication entitled Canes to Wheelchairs: Mobility Alternatives.

Being able to get around has a great impact on what an individual is able to do and where they are able to go. It offers overviews and insights, and explains the options for those who are looking to improve their mobility and independence.

Ziggi Landsman, Director of Assistive Technology for United Spinal, and creator of the popular wheelchair and assistive technology website USA TechGuide states: “Many people who are having difficulty with personal mobility have little knowledge of how to begin finding solutions. Getting around their community becomes difficult and unsafe, and they needlessly become isolated and confined to their homes. The impact on their quality of life and their independence can be devastating.”

The guide was designed specifically for the layman, with the intention of helping people to re-enter their community and enhance their independence and safety.
