The United Spinal Association is pleased to announce that its Wheelchair Medic division will conduct a FREE Wheelchair and Mobility Scooter Safety and Repair Clinic. Date: Thursday, February 19, 2009
Wheelchairs need maintenance just like cars do. Getting regular tune-ups helps keep a person’s wheelchair safe and functioning properly and helps prevent major problems from developing. A Wheelchair Medic "10-Point Check Up" will be provided for all people who take advantage of this opportunity. It will include a check of the following: |

| 1. Rear tires 2. Front castors and forks 3. Wheel locks 4. Upholstery and arm pads 5. Frame integrity 6. Folding mechanism, if applicable 7. Battery and charger power 8. Bearings 9. Nuts and bolts 10. Safety equipment. |

Upon completion of the “tune-up” Wheelchair Medic technicians can advise consumers of necessary repairs. If repairs are needed, the consumer can schedule an appointment with Wheelchair Medic to perform the work at a later date (10% discount coupons will be available for parts and/or new sales) or with another repair service.
