Restorative-Therapies-equipmentRestorative Therapies offers comprehensive and customizable rehabilitation therapy solutions and support services for people with a range of neurological conditions. As the industry leader in integrated functional electrical stimulation (iFES™), we’ve proudly helped more than 100,000 patients in more than 1,000 clinics and 4,000 homes over the past 15 years. We’re here to help people of all ages (and their families) with neurological impairments or critical conditions that limit mobility to achieve their full recovery potential.

What is Integrated Functional Electrical Stimulation (iFES™)

Functional electrical stimulation (FES) is a well-established modality that’s been widely used for rehabilitation for over 50 years. FES uses safe, low-current electrical pulses to activate paralyzed or deconditioned muscles for functional movement and is a proven therapy with a wide range of therapeutic indications.

Restorative Therapies systems combine therapeutic modalities to create complex integrated functional electrical stimulation (iFES). iFES incorporates functional electrical stimulation (FES) integrated with task specific or motor assistance/resistance activities to optimize therapeutic goals. Our proprietary software provides real-time biofeedback, data tracking and sophisticated control algorithms that are designed for a wide range of neurological impairments.

Research has shown that this combination of modalities augments volitional contractions in weak or paralyzed muscle. The activity provided allows someone with a neurological impairment to begin progressive resistive or task specific therapy, interventions shown to provide comprehensive therapeutic outcomes including preventions of secondary health conditions, motor function, and even gait improvements.

Your Advocate for Life

The RTI treatment approach provides products and services across the continuum of care, and site of care, from the critical care unit to inpatient and outpatient therapy and then in-home care. As an Advocate for Life for our patients and clinicians, Restorative Therapies is dedicated to helping patients and clinicians achieve access to care and have the best opportunity to live an active healthy life.
RTI is here throughout each journey to help select the right solution and we offer the following services:

• Reimbursement Processing
• On-site Installation & Training
• Funding Guidance
• Therapy Progress Monitoring
• Clinical & Technical Support
• Software Updates
• Clinical Training Center
• Continuing Education

RT300

RT300 is the Restorative Therapies’ flagship product line that includes four different versions depending on your needs:
• Leg | Arm | Core
• Leg | Core
• Arm | Core
• Pediatric Leg | Core
It’s never too late to get started with an RT300 iFES program. You can benefit from iFES at the onset of your diagnosis or after your disease or injury has progressed.

All RT300 devices are physician-prescribed, FDA Class II medical devices.

How it Works

The RT300 motor combined with FES, provides repetition with assistance or resistance to replace the function of your weak or paralyzed muscles. The motor can facilitate arm or leg movement in a circular motion to recreate physical work in conjunction with FES-evoked muscle contractions. The motor assistance or resistance is measured and adjusted through smart software to keep you safe, productive and progressing through each session. In addition, activity-based therapy (ABT) is a patterned activation of paralyzed or weakened muscles to recover a specific motor task. The primary goal of ABT is the recovery of motor and sensory function below the level of injury, which can be achieved by repetitive activation of a damaged neuromuscular system. The repetitive motion promotes neuroplasticity and muscle re-education. A typical 12 channel 30-minute Restorative Therapies iFES therapy session will activate muscles thousands of times.

Why RT300 iFES

The levels of sophistication and intelligence built into Restorative Therapies’ devices are unparalleled in the market. There are many unique features and functions of the RT300 that have been specifically designed to provide you with optimal therapeutic benefits.

Since 2005, the RT300’s advanced iFES has been cleared by the FDA to:

• Reduce muscle atrophy
• Reduce muscle spasms
• Improve local circulation
• Maintain or increase range of motion
• Facilitate muscle re-education

In addition, studies have shown that the benefits of RT300 iFES extend beyond improved motor function and reduced muscle atrophy to include:

• Increased respiration and circulation1
• Reduction of expensive secondary medical conditions and costs associated with re-hospitalization and long-term care in hospitals and/or skilled nursing facilities2
