There are chairs that go up a staircase on a track, but that's expensive too. I assume you have a computer and an internet connection. If so, you can search for "elevators", "lifts", "stair chairs" and just see what there is. I really don't know of anything easy and inexpensive. You might want to check out the "Ibot." I need advice in how can I get from my apat. (bottom floor) to my brother's apt. (up-stairs). There's only a steep flight of stairs that would be to dangerous to climb up or down with friends assistance. I only need to go upthere perhaps once every two months, like for Christmas, a birthday, etc. My brother had polio & he has a hard time climbing steps but there's no choice. We are in Mexico & we don't have either elevators nor governmet agencies that would sponsor them. Perhaps we could afford a low cost elevator or simmilar device.
