NOW – The Senate is debating the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (HR 3590). The CLASS Act is in Title VIII of this bill. An amendment will be introduced soon to strip the CLASS Act from the bill and we cannot let it pass. Advocates should participate in the national call in day on December 3 and work to collect stories from across the country about the need for long term services and supports. These stories are extremely important to dispelling the pervasive myths that people with disabilities want to be on Medicaid and that they have not been or cannot be employed.
