NYC: Test Drive New Voting System Before the Fall Elections

New Yorkers won’t have the old lever-operated mechanical voting machines to kick around this fall. If you live in the five boroughs and need to try the new system, here’s what you do, according to our friends at CIDNY:

Practice casting a ballot on the new voting system before the fall 2010 elections.
This fall New Yorkers will be voting with:

  • paper ballots,
  • scanners that count votes and
  • Ballot Marking Devices (BMDs) to help voters with disabilities mark a paper ballot without relying on anyone else.

Try the new machines at CIDNY at 841 Broadway, #301, New York, NY 10003

Come anytime between 1PM -6:30PM on Wednesday, May 19th.

RSVP and receive a FREE round trip Metrocard when you cast your ballot at CIDNY’s Voting Demonstration.
