A Cross Sectional Study to Evaluate the Persistence of Immunological Effects of Glatiramer Acetate (Copaxone®) in Patients With Relapsing Forms of MS Previously Treated With Glatiramer Acetate
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Purpose: To determine how immune responses change over time after glatiramer acetate (Copaxone) treatment has been terminated.
Eligibility:
• Men and women ages 18 to 55
• Diagnosis of RRMS
• Cannot have had an infection within a month of participating.
Procedure: Participation includes one visit to the study site where an exam will be conducted and blood will be taken. Immunological studies will then be performed on the blood samples obtained at the study visit.
Benefit: This study may lead to a greater understanding of the immunobiology in patients with MS.
