Access to Chiropractic in VA System

Type of Action: Letter to Senator

On May 23rd, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1470, a bill introduced by Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Bob Filner (D-CA-51) requiring the VA to phase-in availability of chiropractic care at all major VA medical centers within the next four years. Specifically, the bill would require 75 VA major medical centers have a chiropractor on duty before the end of 2009 and all major health care facilities to have a chiropractor on duty before the end of 2011.
