United Spinal Association will be at Yankee Stadium for Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Night on September 25, 2013 at 7:05 PM, during a home game against the Tampa Bay Rays to raise funds to assist people living with spinal cord injuries and disorders across the country.
“We hope many New Yorkers will join us for a fun night at the ballpark in support of United Spinal that will also raise awareness about people living with spinal cord injury,” said Paul J. Tobin, United Spinal’s president and CEO.
This fundraiser event is in recognition of September’s National Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. Approximately 12,000 new spinal cord injuries occur in the U.S. each year. A majority of injuries occur from work-related accidents, sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents, falls, and stab or gunshot wounds.
Fifty percent of ticket sales will be donated directly to support United Spinal’s mission to improve the quality of life of all people living with spinal cord injuries and disorders. Cost per ticket is $90. Seats are located on Main Level in Section 212.
